Tressora — AI Hair Try On
Effective date: September 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tressora (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Tressora iOS app. Tressora lets you preview a hairstyle, hair color, or salon look on a photo you provide. The app has no account and no sign-in.
If you do not agree with this policy, do not upload a photo and do not use the try-on feature.
Face Data
This section describes every face-related practice of the app: what we collect, why, who receives it, where it is stored, how long it is kept, and how you can delete it.
What face data does the App collect?
The app collects a still photograph that you take with the camera or choose from your photo library. That photograph may show your face, hair, and the surrounding scene (such as clothing and background). We use this photograph as the source image for a virtual hair try-on.
Before the photo is sent for generation, the app makes a smaller JPEG copy on your device. The longest side is limited to 1024 pixels.
The app does not collect any of the following:
- Face ID, TrueDepth, or depth-camera data
- A face mesh, facial landmarks, blend shapes, or other facial geometry
- A faceprint, face template, or other biometric identifier
- Information used to recognize or verify who you are
The app does not scan your face on device and does not create a biometric profile.
All planned uses of the collected face data
We use the photograph, and the generated image that still shows your face, only for these purposes:
- Show your photo in the app while you choose a look and compare it with the result. Pressing and holding the result temporarily shows the photo you uploaded.
- Generate one hair preview. When you tap “Create Your Look” (or the higher-quality option), the app sends your photograph together with the hairstyle reference image you selected. The generation request asks the model to keep the same person and change only the hair, hair color, or salon styling. The result is a new picture for style inspiration. It is not identity verification, and it is not a professional styling or medical service.
- Keep the generated preview in History on your device so you can open it again. History stores the generated picture, not a separate face template.
- Save the generated preview to Photos only if you tap Save and allow the app to add photos.
We do not use face data to identify you, authenticate you, advertise to you, build a marketing profile, sell data, or train our own models. We do not use it for any purpose other than the try-on features listed above.
Is face data shared with any third parties? Where is it stored?
Yes. The photograph you submit is shared with one service provider so that provider can create the preview.
When you generate a look, the app sends your photograph and the selected style reference over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our image-generation provider, Trinity AI, at https://api.trinitydesk.ai. Trinity AI processes that request with an image model. The app currently uses a Google Gemini image model, and may use OpenAI’s GPT Image model when you choose higher quality or when the first attempt does not return an image. Those models receive the photograph only through Trinity AI, and only to produce the hairstyle preview for that request.
We do not share face data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies. The app does not include advertising or tracking SDKs. The hairstyle reference image is a catalog picture supplied by the app, not a photo from your library.
Where face data is stored:
- On your iPhone, in memory, while the upload and result screens are open. The original photograph is not written into the app’s files.
- On your iPhone, in the app’s private Documents folder (
History), for each generated preview. That file stays on the device. It is not uploaded to a Tressora server. - In your Photos library, only after you tap Save. That copy is controlled by Photos.
- On Trinity AI’s systems, for processing the generation request. Tressora does not operate that service and does not keep a copy of your photograph on Tressora servers. Our configuration service, if contacted, receives only an app identifier used to obtain an API key. It does not receive your photograph or face data. In the current app, generation uses the image provider above and does not send your photo to any other server of ours.
How long will face data be retained?
- Original photograph: retained in app memory only while you are on the try-on screens. We do not save it to the app’s storage and we do not save it on Tressora servers. It is removed from app memory when you leave those screens or the system closes the app.
- Generated preview in History: retained on your device until you delete that item in History, or until you delete the app. Deleting the app removes the app’s Documents folder, including History.
- Photos library copy: retained until you delete it in Photos. Tressora cannot delete that copy.
- Provider processing: the photograph is transmitted so Trinity AI can complete that generation and return the result. Tressora does not retain the photograph after the result is delivered to the app, because Tressora never stores it on its own servers. We do not keep a request log that would let us retrieve the photograph later. We do not authorize the provider to use your face data for facial recognition, advertising, sale, or to train Tressora’s own models.
How you can delete face data
- Leave the try-on screen or close the app to drop the original photograph from app memory. It was not saved as a file.
- Open History, tap Edit, and confirm Delete to remove a generated preview from the device. Deletion is immediate and the in-app copy cannot be restored.
- Delete the app to remove every History image stored by Tressora.
- Delete any picture you saved from the Photos app.
Because we do not keep your photograph on our servers, and we do not keep an identifier for past generation requests, emailing us cannot delete a photo from the device or locate a prior request at the image provider. Use the in-app delete steps above.
Other information
The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location, and it does not create an account.
- Daily generation count. The app stores today’s date and how many previews you have generated today in on-device preferences, so it can apply a limit of two generations per day. This counter is not sent to us and is not tied to your identity.
- Region. The app reads the region setting on the device to decide whether the app is available. That check stays on the device.
- Camera. Used only when you choose to take a photo for try-on. The permission text is “Take a photo to try on hairstyles.”
- Photo library. Choosing an existing photo uses the system photo picker. The app does not request access to your whole library for that step. Adding a result to Photos uses add-only access, described as “Save your hairstyle look to Photos.”
Security
Photos sent for generation travel over HTTPS. History images stay in the app’s private sandbox on your device. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Children
Tressora is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect face data from children under 13. The app is intended for users 18 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has uploaded a photo, contact us and delete the resulting images from History and Photos on the device.
Changes
We may update this policy by posting a new version at this page and changing the effective date. Continued use of the try-on feature after the update means you accept the revised policy. Please review this page before you upload a photo.
